A week ago we learned that our English teacher was getting married and was going to be out for the week while she and her husband got married and got settled down in the five towns. The last name of the married couple will be Cowan. We had a substitute who previously worked at the girl’s school, she seems pretty nice. The week started out with Columbus Day, where there were no school buses that were running. Class 103 usually starts the day off with math, science, history, and writer’s workshop so they had the substitute first. On Tuesday and Wednesday we had off days for Yom Kippur which felt very spiritual. On Thursday we started school which had a little excitement mixed with a little tiredness. We all started class then after 10-15 minutes me, Arieh k., Azriel, and his para Michal went to help build a sukkah for a family which lost their father, after which we went back to school in time for lunch. Later in the day we davened mincha and went to the gym and pool where everyone had a great time. On Friday we had the last few classes before sukkot and at the end of the day we had kugel and chulent in the multipurpose room before we go eat in a sukkah with our family.
