Monday started off with a Lag b’omer trip to Bath Beach Park with Magan David high school. We did some activities, like tug of war and a three legged race, and ate deli sandwiches and salad for lunch. We asked some students how the trip from their perspective was. Eli G. says that the trip was ok but could have been better; Benji says it was a nice trip, and Dovid Friedman says it was a great trip. We all had a fun and a wonderful time. On Tuesday we had Mrs. Cowan in mind while we learned because she was sick. Wednesday brought some interesting news. Benji, Shea and DJ all wore very similar shirts. It was unplanned and unexpected yet intriguing. Mordechai Schapiro came to the school for the music video. We all danced with him and had a great time. Later that day, Yosef Itzkowitz, Eli Berger, Dovid Friedman, Chaim Mordechai, Simcha Lerner, and Schneur went to crown heights and they met Meir Kay. Meir is an orthodox “super Jew” who goes around inspiring people on social media and other ways. He may look like us but don’t let his appearance fool you. He danced with the boys and brought smiles. It was an unforgettable time and event especially after dancing with Mordechai Schapiro earlier. On Thursday we took a break from all the excitement and had a relaxing day. In the afternoon we said good Shabbos to Yosef Itzkowitz since he was tutoring Yosef P. the next day. On Friday we learned that the music video will be done in roughly 2 weeks. We’re excited to see how it’ll come out.
