On Monday there was no busing because it was Martin Luther King jr. day (a legal holiday). Since there was no bus service there weren’t so many students and that meant that there weren’t so much to do. On Tuesday, we welcomed back everyone who wasn’t here on Monday because of the busing situation. We also had a typical day. On Wednesday, we had another typical day. During the day, some of the students went to voc and some had class. On Thursday, it seemed that it was going to be another typical day but it turned out not to be a typical day. By lunch time an old teacher came to visit and see how everyone was. That was not all, by swimming Dovid Friedman conquered his fears and went into the deep end for the first time. Everyone was so very elated. We also learned that we were going to have vacation for a little more than a week. The Miami marathon was fast approaching and some boys were running in the marathon/ 5k. We wished them luck as we left school. During the vacation everyone had a relaxing time while the boys who went to Miami for the race got ready. The Miami race started with a shabbaton in the hotel where everyone met new and old faces while getting ready for the race. After a seemingly quick Shabbos it was race day where all racers woke up at an early 3:15 to get ready, eat breakfast, and get to where we needed to be by around 6:20. When the race ended everyone went back to the hotel to change and get ready for the postrace BBQ where there were hot dogs, hamburgers, and other foods. When everything was said and done and everyone had a great time we went back home exhausted and ready for bed. On Monday since everyone who went was tired they had an option not to come to school that day and some boys took that option. While those boys took off the other boys who came/ had school had a relaxing day. On Tuesday we welcomed back the boys who took the day off. They were still a bit tired from waking up early within a two day radius but they got through the day and so did everyone else who was at school. On Wednesday we had a typical day with some classes. On Thursday we had our usual seminar but we started something new this time. We started to learn how to sell something. That was very interesting topic to start to learn. On Friday we had another typical day. The delicious chulent this week was made by Rosie.
