On Monday we learned that we were getting closer to the surprise ice cream party for the whole school. The surprise ice cream party is for spending your time wisely i.e. playing a game with friends during lunch and helping those friends throughout the game. On Tuesday everyone had a typical day except for Eli G. and Zach. They had an ice cream party for themselves because they finished reading a book. The book was assigned to the whole class but only Eli and Zach managed to read it. The book was “I Survived Pearl Harbor” by: Lauren Tarshis. It is 100 pages long and seemed like it was going to take all night but Zach and Eli did it, and boy did they feel accomplished. On Wednesday we went on a trip to a high school in Riverdale, Bronx NY. The school is known as SAR and they gave us a tour of the building and gave us lunch. Overall it seemed interesting to see a different place and meet new faces. We hope that we meet some of these wonderful boys again soon. Thursday we got a day off because everyone was worried about being snowed in. Over the vacation the boys school and the girls school had a challenge on who can read the most books by the end of vacation. The results are not in yet. On Friday not that many students were in because the roads were too icy to drive on. When music time came by the teachers had their music time.
