On Monday we came to school with our luggage, nervous and excited because were going on the overnight. After we put down our stuff and davened we had a meeting with all the staff about what was going to happen and who was going to whose car. When everything was put in the cars and everyone was in the cars we pulled out. After everyone had gotten to the house we unloaded the bags and stuff from the trunks and then we went exploring. It was huge and spectacular. It had a movie theater, a fire pit, a pool table, a lake, a kayak, and some pinball machines. When we were done exploring we got our trunks and towels (as a just in case) because we were going to Kalahari water resort. At the end of the day after some confusion we davened mincha then we played games for like 2 hours. When the time was up we went to the front so we could be part of the video. After the games we didn’t think it would get any better but the fun was only starting there. When we got back to the place we had a delicious BBQ that was made thanks to the amazing work of Azriel and Rabbi Klein. During the BBQ (which was our supper) I made a siyum on mesechet Taanis. We sang and danced and some people threw candy. After all of that some of us went to the theater for a movie others went to relax on the couch, and the rest went to play on the pin ball machines/ pool table. At 8:30 we reconvened in the back near the fire pit to watch some fireworks (thanks to Rabbi Klein), sang some zemirot, and roasted marshmallows. After all was said and done we gave Rosie our phones, davened maariv and went to relax in the hot tub. When everyone was done with the hot tub, we got comfortable and had a dance party. When the party was over we had a choice of seeing a movie, play some games, or go to sleep. Majority chose to go to bed and the few that stayed up saw How to Train Your Dragon. Tuesday saw us pushing off our activities. After breakfast we packed up everything but our lunch so we won’t have any trouble when we leave. The stuff is packed and we were bored so we were given 3 options on activities. They are 1) stay at the house and partake in different activities 2) go on a roller coaster once and 3) go to the park and play sports. The majority chose option 1. Option 3 was the least favorite of the options.as 12:00 rolled around we had lunch which consisted of bagels, tuna and cream cheese. After lunch all the stuff that wasn’t packed beforehand was packed and we got prepped for the 2 hour and 15 minute trip. When all was done we arrived at school scot free where we were informed that Sarah Horovitz (speech therapist) got engaged on Sunday. We want to wish her mazal and a lot of simcha. On Wednesday we had a relaxing day because everyone was still a bit tired from the overnight. Thursday came around as a normal ordinary day with nothing new. On Friday we wished Shea an early happy birthday since it was his birthday on Shabbos. Check out some more pictures from our overnight below:
